Singing the Flowers Open is Cooper's tenth volume of poetry. Ranging from spare lyrics to translations from Lin Chu, this new collection confirms Cooper's gift for language and his eye for natural detail. This is a graceful collection from a gifted craftsman.

Review:
Consistency of content and of style has always marked Cooper. From his first to his current book, he has been a poet who, like Nova Scotia naturalist poet Harry Thurston, gleans inspiration from nature and familial relationships. George Elliott Clarke, Halifax Sunday Herald
